Before & After Treatment Care
This guide helps you prepare for your treatment and care for your skin afterwards to ensure optimal results and a smooth recovery.
Quick Reminders
• Always inform us of any new medications, skin treatments, or medical changes.
• If you notice unusual swelling, intense discomfort, or signs of infection, contact us right away.
• Consistency matters - follow your personalised skin plan for best long-term results.
For all treatments, consult your therapist if you have any concerns or experience excessive redness, swelling, or pain.
Preparing for your treatment
• Avoid retinol, exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA), vitamin C serums, or harsh scrubs for 5 days prior.
• No sunbeds or prolonged sun exposure 2 weeks before.
• Avoid waxing, threading, electrolysis or laser on the area for 7 days prior.
• If you’re prone to cold sores, let us know you may need preventative medication.
• Arrive with clean skin no makeup, fake tan, or SPF on treatment day.
• Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol 24 hours before.
• Drink plenty of water before and after your appointment for optimal drainage.
• Avoid heavy makeup or skincare the morning of treatment if possible.
• Do not have Botox or fillers 2 weeks prior in the treatment area.
• If feeling unwell (cold, infection, fever), reschedule - this treatment works with your immune system.
• Discontinue retinol, tretinoin, exfoliating acids, or benzoyl peroxide 5 – 7 days before.
• Avoid waxing, laser hair removal, or intense heat (sauna, steam) for 5 days prior.
• Avoid self-tanning products on the face for 7 days.
• Keep skin well moisturised and avoid any active breakouts or infections.
• Sun exposure should be minimal - wear SPF 30+ every day before your peel.
After your treatment
- Expect redness, warmth, and mild swelling for 24 – 48 hrs.
- Keep skin clean & hydrated - use only the gentle cleanser and healing serum we recommend.
- No makeup, exercise, saunas, or swimming for 24 – 48 hrs.
- Avoid touching the treated area and do not pick at any dryness or flaking.
- Wear broad spectrum SPF 30+ daily - avoid direct sun for 2 weeks.
- No retinoids, vitamin C, acids or scrubs for 7 days.
- Avoid Botox/fillers/laser for 2 weeks post-treatment.
- White on prick marks can remain on the skin for 6-10 weeks post treatment

- Skin may feel tight, dry or peel for several days - this is normal.
- Do not pick or peel flaking skin - let it shed naturally.
- Avoid heat, saunas, steam, and exercise for 48 hrs.
- Use gentle cleanser & hydrating moisturiser only until peeling stops.
- Absolutely no exfoliants, retinol or acids for at least 7 days.
- Apply SPF 30+ daily and avoid direct sun for 2 weeks.
- Avoid Botox/fillers/laser for 2 weeks post-treatment.
- Avoid waxing, threading or laser on the area until fully healed.
